For a large part of society the reopening of schools and the beginning of the school year is not a joyous event. \u00a0With inflation, skyrocketing tuition fees and expensive equipment and accessories it has become a difficult time<\/p>\n
Due to the high costs and the difficulties with the job market for parents several million children and adolescents are not accessing school.<\/p>\n
Institutionalised discrimination and inequality in access to education is part of the permanent policy of the Islamic Republic’s education system.<\/p>\n
Hundreds of schools opened with serious concerns for the safety and wellbeing of the children. \u00a0Thousands of classrooms are unsafe, with insufficient heating and lavatory systems. \u00a0This causes families great concern.<\/p>\n
Organized religion has interfered with the academic standards in textbooks replacing it with superstition. \u00a0It is brainwashing and polluting the minds of children and education policies in all of the schools in the Islamic Republic of Iran. \u00a0Thousands of clerics have been dispatched to replace teachers, making students exacerbated and sad. \u00a0The schools are more like a garrison.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Education and training has a multi-trillion budget deficit and is one of the most indebted Islamic government ministries. \u00a0It endangers the future lives of several million students with the lowest academic and safety standards.<\/p>\n
Iran is an example of the result of the fall of the value of education in the Islamic Republic producing deliberate neglect in providing education.<\/p>\n
It has created a sad and limited situation with increased policing of security for students and their families. \u00a0The system does not care for the safety of schools and the heating systems which are a serious threat to student’s lives. \u00a0From kindergarten to the end of their education children are hostages of sharia rule. \u00a0Dozens of teachers are arrested, imprisoned or expelled for protesting at the dire state of the education system.<\/p>\n
Teachers call for a nationwide protest on 13th October. \u00a0They want to change the catastrophic situation of education in the country. \u00a0They want a scientific and modern education. \u00a0The release of teachers who have been imprisoned is one of the most urgent demands of the protesters<\/p>\n
