Today we have gathered here, to announce outrage over the Farkhunda’s brutal murder (27-year-old) by number of reactionary thugs.
Farkhunda’s murder occurred in downtown Kabul, in front of the two swords mosque at some distance from the office of the presidency, parliament and the judiciary, under dozens of embassies and military, who are believed to security Farkhunda and apparently the police are watching this disaster, but it did not work.
Afghanistan is a country that for years has been involved with terrorism and crime and every few days the news of a suicide or murder in this country come to our ears.
Afghanistan is still a country where women’s rights are violated daily and appalling. Murder of women, humiliation, insult to women and women rights violation in the law and common traditions, is painful event. That with the recent tragedy has once again attracted attention.
We have people who come under the Islamic Republic of Iran, understand fully problems and the plight of women and people in Afghanistan. Our 36 years who are struggling with the laws and traditions of misogynist and we find ourselves, in the trenches fighting women and people for a free and safe life. Farkhunda’s murder was a tragedy, but the reaction of that people and society, especially women in Afghanistan showed the disaster, it was a turning point. A turning point that showed that Afghan society is not a society where media is everywhere advocating. But a modern movement and freedom in this country at this point and hope to us all. Here I announce a deep solidarity with our friends in the institution Free Woman (MINA Ahadi) and Children First Now, with this new modern movement for freedom and equality. Once again our will announce sympathy to the families Farkhunda and women and people of Afghanistan. We defend our courageous battles.
We are Farkhunda, We have raised against ignorance and superstition which took from us Farkhunda. But we will not cease to eradicate the ignorance and superstitions. You are responsible, angry and suffering of injustice people that can hear my voice, I’m speaking to you. What is our duty in the face of this disaster? After the protests go back to our homes or stay here and unify to fight for freedom and equality?
I am waiting for your call.
